The Museum of Gaming History is growing and we need your support. The MoGH came to
life in 2014 with the showing of exhibits at the El Cortez Hotel and the Mob
Museum. We are working on showing several new exhibits in the coming year.
The MoGH needs your support to fund these projects. We seek to grow the hobby by
expanding interest in Gaming History. Please visit the MoGH
Donation page.

Metal chips and plaques should not be confused with metal slot machine tokens.
Many of the early gaming chips that were used in both casinos and for home
use were made of various metals such as gold, silver, and copper.
EXAMPLES: Several of the illustrated pieces were used prior to the
advent of the slot machine, and were used in Monte-Carlo, Austria, France,
Germany and Spain. The oval plaque is from Romania, circa: 1920s, and the
NC/16 monogram is from Hungary, circa: 1830s.
