The Museum of Gaming History

The Museum of Gaming History is growing and we need your support. The MoGH came to life in 2014 with the showing of exhibits at the El Cortez Hotel and the Mob Museum. We are working on showing several new exhibits in the coming year. The MoGH needs your support to fund these projects. We seek to grow the hobby by expanding interest in Gaming History. 1991 - Alton, IL. Alton Belle casino opens.

September 12th

2017 - Tuesday

1973 - Reno, NV. Bonanza Square Inn opened at 4720 North Virginia St., Reno.

2001 - Metropolis, IL. Harrah's casino opens.

September 13th

2017 - Wednesday

1995 - Kansas City, MO. Sam's Town casino opens.

September 14th

2017 - Thursday

1993 - Gulfport. Copa Casino opens.

September 15th

2017 - Friday

1971 - Las Vegas, NV. Jackpot Casino opens at 2410 Las Vegas Blvd. South, on the Las Vegas Strip.

September 16th

2017 - Saturday

2014 - Atlantic City NJ. The Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino closed permanently on September 16, 2014. This was the fourth Atlantic City casino to close in 2014, after The Atlantic Club Casino Hotel closed on January 13, 2014, Showboat Atlantic City closed on August 31, 2014 and Revel Atlantic City closed on September 2, 2014. This closing leaves approximately 1,300 former Trump Plaza and affiliated businesses located within this complex, and their employees all out of work.
