1946 - Reno, NV. The Nevada Club opened at 224 North Virginia Street, replacing Robbins Nevada Club. On December 28, 1997, the Nevada Club closed. It was razed, along with Harolds Club, to make way for the new Harrah's Casino. |
1935 - Reno, NV. In the 1930's, many of the small clubs and bars in Reno obtained gaming licenses that allowed them to offer limited gambling to their customers. The La Rue Club offered roulette from March 23 to June 23, 1935. |
1931 - Reno, NV. The Owl Club, at 142 East Commercial Row, was the first casino in Reno to be licensed, when gambling was legalized in 1931. . |
