2009 - Wellington, Kansas. Greg Susong died. Greg was responsible for: The ChipBoard, The ChipGuide, The StrikePoint, and The Slot Card BBS. He is a member of the CC>CC Hall of Fame. He was the webmaster of the CC>CC website. He ran the Tuesday night before the start of the annual CC>CC convention Online Chippers Party at the Palms Casino. A tradition started during the convention's run at the Riviera was Friday lunch at Kady's Coffee Shop, which we named in his honor, the Susong Burger Lunch. He was one of the four Limo Studs. He beamed the convention by webcam to those who could not attend. He was an organizer of the Wednesday night online Chippers poker tournament. He turned a hobby of remote individuals into a community. A community of friends. His contributions to the hobby are second to none. |

2016 - Atlantic City NJ. In February 2016, Trump Entertainment Resorts exited bankruptcy and became a subsidiary of Icahn Enterprises. The casino retained the name "Trump Taj Mahal", though Donald Trump no longer held any ownership stake. Shortly thereafter, an agreement was announced for the Taj Mahal to be managed by another Icahn affiliate, Tropicana Entertainment. Icahn also stated he would withhold a planned $100-million investment into the property if New Jersey approved casinos in the northern region of the state.On August 3, 2016, it was announced that the Trump Taj Mahal shut down permanently on October 10, 2016.

1993 - Las Vegas, NV. Luxor Las Vegas is a hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. The 30-story hotel, owned and operated by MGM Resorts International, has a 120,000-square-foot casino with over 2,000 slot machines and 87 table games. Due to the 2008 to 2009 renovation, it has a new, highly modernized design and contains a total of 4,407 rooms, including 442 suites, lining the interior walls of a pyramid-shaped tower and within more recent twin 22-story ziggurat towers. The hotel is named after the city of Luxor (ancient Thebes) in Egypt. Luxor is the fourth-largest hotel in Las Vegas and the eighth largest in the world. As of 2010, the Luxor has a 4 Key rating from the Green Key Eco-Rating Program, which evaluates "sustainable" hotel operations. |

1998 - Las Vegas, NV. Bellagio is a resort, luxury hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It is owned and operated by MGM Resorts International and was built on the site of the demolished Dunes hotel and casino. Inspired by the Lake Como town of Bellagio in Italy, Bellagio is famed for its elegance. One of its most notable features is an 8-acre (3.2 ha) lake between the building and the Strip, which houses the Fountains of Bellagio, a large dancing water fountain synchronized to music.Inside Bellagio, Dale Chihuly's Fiori di Como, composed of over 2,000 hand-blown glass flowers, covers 2,000 sq ft (190 m2) of the lobby ceiling. Bellagio is home to Cirque du Soleil's aquatic production "O". The main (original) tower of Bellagio, with 3,015 rooms, has 36 floors and a height of 508 ft (151 m). The Spa Tower, which stands to the south of the main tower, has 33 floors, a height of 392 ft (119 m) and contains 935 rooms. |
