Anthony Cornero Stralla also known as "the Admiral" and "Tony the Hat" was Born August 18, 1899 - Died July 31, 1955) was a bootlegger and gambling entrepreneur in Southern California from the 1920s through the 1950s. During his varied career, he bootlegged liquor into Los Angeles, ran legal gambling ships in international waters, and legally operated casinos in Las Vegas, Nevada. |

The Las Vegas Club was a casino-hotel located on the Fremont Street Experience at Main in Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada owned by the Tamares Group and operated by the Navegante Group, along with the Plaza Hotel & Casino across the street.In May 2015, the Las Vegas Club announced its intent to open a 13,810-square-foot pharmacy on the eastern side of its casino. This is now unlikely, in light of the August 14, 2015, announcement of the casino's sale to Derek and Greg Stevens, owners of the nearby D and Golden Gate casinos, who plan to close and renovate it.After the sale, The Las Vegas Club closed at midnight on August 19, 2015. |

| 1975 - Reno, NV. The King's Inn casino opened at 303 West Street, on the corner of Third. The King's Inn Hotel had opened, without gaming, in September of 1974. In January of 1975 Allen Bergendahl, who would be general manager and principal stockholder in the casino, applied for a gaming license for 150 slot machines and 12 table games. The license was finally granted in August. The casino operated until 1982, In 1986, after failure to meet fire-codes, the hotel closed. . |

| 1939 - Reno, NV. The Rainbow Club opened at 146 North Center Street, licensed for slots, tango and keno (bingo). In operation at the same time as the Club Fortune and Harrah's Heart Tango, the three clubs competed for customers by offering free cash prize drawings and inexpensive bingo games that had high cash prizes. The Rainbow Club closed in 1941. |

| 2014 - Las Vegas Nevada. The SLS Hotel & Casino Las Vegas is a hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in Winchester, Nevada. It is owned by SBE Entertainment and Stockbridge Real Estate. The renovated property reopened on August 23, 2014] after a $415 million renovation as part of SBE's chain of SLS hotels. On February 14, 2013, Nazarian announced the groundbreaking for the $415 million conversion of the hotel into the SLS Las Vegas. The hotel opened on August 23, 2014. It contains 1,600 rooms, a casino, four nightclubs, the clothing store Fred Segal and various restaurants. The name "SLS" was chosen by Nazarian to denote style, luxury and service. On September 6, 2014, Hilton Worldwide added the SLS to its specialty Curio brand.The facility offers 80,000 sq ft of event space, 9 dining establishments, an open air rooftop pool/nightclub, and the Ciel Spa. |
