| 1949 - Reno, NV. The Sunflower Supper Club was licensed for slots, 21, craps and roulette. The club was located several miles south of Reno, at 9825 South Virginia Street. The casino didn't renew its license in September of 1950. The following year the club reopened as Echo's Club. |

| 1956 - Las Vegas, NV. The Fremont Hotel is located on 200 Fremont Street. It was designed by architect Wayne McAllister and opened on May 18, 1956 as the tallest building in the state of Nevada. At the time of its opening it had 155 rooms, cost $6 million to open and was owned by Ed Levinson and Lou Lurie. In 1963 the Hotel was expanded to include the 14 story Ogden tower and one of the city's first vertical parking garages.In 1974 Allen Glick's Argent Corporation purchased the Fremont and in 1976 expanded the casino at a cost of $4 million. In 1983 Sam Boyd bought the Fremont to add to his Boyd Gaming group properties. |

| 1981 - Las Vegas, NV. Gold Spike Hotel & Casino) is a bar, lounge, residential building, and former boutique 112-room, seven floor hotel. It is connected with the Oasis at the Gold Spike, a 50-room three floor hotel located in downtown Las Vegas. It was owned by entrepreneur Tony Hsieh and his Downtown Project, having bought it from The Siegel Group; and the casino was operated by Golden Gaming.Hsieh closed the casino on April 14, 2013. After a three-week remodel, Gold Spike re-opened the casino as a restaurant and bar on May 6, 2013. The hotel portion of the building was recently converted into permanent and temporary workforce housing for Downtown Project, entrepreneurs, and Zappos; Oasis hotel is a separate building on the same property. |

| 2009 - Bethlehem Pennsylvannia. A hotel and casino located in the Bethlehem Works development site in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in the Lehigh Valley region of eastern Pennsylvania, in the United States.
The casino is owned, operated, and constructed by the Las Vegas Sands corporation. It is one of five stand-alone casinos that was awarded a slots license by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on December 20, 2006. The casino was slated to open in July 2008, but demolition took longer than expected due to the heavy concrete foundations of the old steel building. Its opening was delayed until the second quarter of 2009. The first concrete for the complex, which is located on the former Bethlehem Steel land on the South side of the city, was poured on November 15, 2007. |

| 1955 - Las Vegas, NV. The Dunes opened on May 23, 1955, as a low-rise resort with Hollywood star Vera-Ellen providing the entertainment in the Magic Carpet Review. In 1961, a 24 story northern tower, called Diamond of the Dunes, was built, bringing the number of rooms up to 450. At the time, it was one of the finest and largest hotels on the Strip. The hotel was built in part with financing from movie mogul Al Gottesman and the Teamsters Pension Fund. The major investors were Joseph Sullivan, Alfred Gottesman and Bob Rice. (It was later believed that Raymond Patriarca, the head of a Providence, Rhode Island crime family was the source of Sullivan's investment.) It was designed by architect Maxwell Starkman. The resort soon ran into financial difficulties and the casino closed after a year. The resort was purchased in 1956 by two businessmen, Major A. Riddle, and Jake Gottlieb, who had dealings with the Chicago Outfit. The resort boasted an 18-hole golf course, a rooftop health spa and a 90 ft long pool. |

| 2009 - Atlantic City, NJ. Pat DeMauro bought into a craps game for $100 Saturday night and held the dice for four hours and 18 minutes. She threw the dice 154 times before she finally “sevened out,” Borgata officials said Sunday. The previous record for longest craps roll was held by Stanley Fujitake, of Honolulu, at 3 hours and 6 minutes, and it took place May 28, 1989, at the California Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. . |
